Employee SMS Verification – How Consent is Collected
Littleton Law Firm uses text messages only to send one-time verification codes to our employees for multi-factor authentication. Employees choose their verification method when they enroll in MFA during onboarding or with our IT team.
Employees who choose text messages enter their own mobile number and sign the Employee SMS Authentication Consent Form, which includes this unchecked checkbox and disclosure:
☐ I agree to receive one-time verification codes by text message from Littleton Law Firm at the mobile number provided, for multi-factor authentication. Message frequency varies based on login activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required; I may use an authenticator app instead. Signed forms are kept in each employee’s personnel file. A blank copy of the form is linked below.
